People flying into Rapid City Regional Airport will once again have the option to rent a motorcycle when they arrive. Visitors can rent a bike and return it when they return for their flight home.
The biggest motorcycle rental business in the US is called EagleRider. and has worked with the airport to offer motorcycle rentals because of heavy visitor traffic and high demand in the summer.
Megan Johnson, the Marketing, Communications and Air Services Manager for Rapid City Regional Airport said, “We had 81,000 visitors pass through the terminal in August of last year, so we anticipate a steady stream of people coming through this August. A sizable portion of that population, which we also observed, appeared interested in riding through the hills on a tour of Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills region.”
Through the month of August, visitors can rent a bike from EagleRider at the airport and in Sturgis, and they can do so online at RapAirport.com/Motorcycle.
Renters’ licenses must be endorsed for motorcycles.
