Following a collision on Thursday afternoon on Cromwell Avenue in Rocky Hill, a motorcyclist has passed away.
According to a police alert, officers arrived at the scene of the collision at 2:30 pm on Cromwell Avenue near Cold Spring Road.
The motorcyclist was found at the scene with serious injuries by the responding officers. Before the crews arrived, bystanders made an effort to assist the person.
The rider of the motorcycle was taken to a nearby hospital where they were declared dead. The person’s identity is being withheld by the police pending notification of the family.
The Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Team was informed. For a few hours, the road between Brook Street and DiPietro Drive was closed, and motorists were advised to find an alternate route.
The driver reportedly remained at the scene and was cooperative with officers.
