Following a motorcycle collision in Middletown, police said a Portland man was taken to the hospital with a serious head injury.
Police say that at around 5:49 p.m., the Middletown Police Department responded to a motorcycle and SUV collision on Hartford Ave.
Daniel Richer, 54, of Portland, Connecticut, was operating the motorcycle when police arrived. sustained a serious head injury.
According to the police, Richer was flown to Hartford Hospital by Lifestar after being taken to Middlesex Hospital. The head injury brought on by the collision is being treated for, and he is currently in critical condition.
According to police, the driver of the second vehicle, a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was unharmed.
