Tyldesley: Police Appeal After Motorcyclist, Aged 29, Dies in Crash

Following a crash last night, a motorcyclist has passed away.

At 10.50 p.m., emergency services were called to Rutland Road in Tyldesley.

According to police, the man lost control of the motorcycle before colliding with a brick gate post at a house.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “Despite all of the emergency services’ best efforts, the rider, a 29-year-old man, tragically passed away there.

“Specialized officers are providing assistance to the rider’s family.

“Police are now pleading with anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam, doorbell, or CCTV footage to contact them.

“Call GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit at 0161 856 4741 and reference incident 4149 from April 18, 2023, to do this. A report can also be made via GMP’s website: www.gmp.police.uk

“Alternately, you can call Crimestoppers, a nonprofit organization, at 0800 555 111 and remain anonymous.”
