Glasgow Man Injured After Car Strikes Motorcycle, Police Say

Police report that a motorcycle and passenger car collided, injuring a man from Glasgow.

According to the Glasgow Police Department, on Wednesday, officers were called to the intersection of Country Club Road and North Jackson Highway because there had been injuries in a collision.

The 2011 Chevy Impala’s operator briefly glanced down at her phone before looking back up, according to the police, while the car was moving north on North Jackson Highway. As a 2017 Indian motorcycle slowed down to a stop at this moment, according to the police, the driver of the Impala was unable to avoid a collision and struck the back of the motorcycle.

Danny Young, a Glasgow resident riding a motorcycle, was taken to T.J. Barren/Metcalfe EMS transported him to Samson Community Hospital for the care of his wounds. Young’s condition has not yet received an update, as of yet.

The Impala’s driver escaped harm.

Investigations into this incident are still ongoing.
