17-year-old Dead After Motorcycle Crash in Northwest Las Vegas Valley

After a motorcycle accident on Friday afternoon in the northwest Las Vegas valley, a 17-year-old boy died.

The accident happened just before 2:00 p.m. at Grand Montecito Parkway is located close to Durango Drive, north of West Deer Springs Way. When it came to a curved section of the Grand Montecito Parkway, a 2012 Honda CBR250 motorcycle, according to the police, was traveling south on the parkway.

Because the rider didn’t follow the curve, the motorcycle went off the road and the motorcyclist was ejected. Police claimed that after the motorcyclist crashed, a sizable palm tree, the rider came to rest on the ground.

The trauma unit at University Medical Center is where the 17-year-old was transported before being declared dead.

This is the 49th traffic-related fatality in the jurisdiction of the LVMPD in 2023.
